As Jesus
went on from there, two blind men followed him, calling out, “Have mercy on us,
Son of David!” When He had gone indoors, the blind men came to Him, and He
asked them, “Do you believe that I am able to do this?” “Yes, Lord,” they
replied. Then He touched their eyes and said, “According to your faith let it
be done to you”; and their sight was restored. Jesus warned them sternly, “See that
no one knows about this.” But they went out and spread the news about him all
over that region. ~Matthew
9:27-31
•God gives
us faith to become what we believe because of the word that is spoken into our
lives. He gives us faith to believe that He is capable of doing what we desire
for Him to do for us.
•Our
response should always be yes to His will. Our response should be yes to His
power to do what we believe He will do.
• The blind
men became healed because they believed in Jesus' power to heal. Their faith
was made complete because they believed that He was capable of healing them.
They trusted that He would heal them. Due to their trust being put in Jesus’
healing power they were surely healed after being blind for so long.
Conclusion
We should
ask ourselves this question: Will we trust Jesus? Will we take Him at His word?
Will we believe in what He is capable of doing? The faith is put into action
once we submit to His will in trusting what He's already promised.
