Fear Not | Purpose Of Faith

Fear not,  for I   am   with you;  Be not dismayed, for I   am   your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you,  I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’ | Isaiah 41:10 A leap of faith is nothing but an act of jumping over your fears. It's like you're at the edge of a mountain. You want to get to the other side but the bridge is missing. The distance from one side of the chasm to the other side is leap-able, but because of your skepticism, you remain still. An invisible wall prohibits you from moving your feet forward. Fear is nothing but a barrier between the unexpected and actuality. The Unexpected are the things we speculate and hypothesize. They are the "what ifs" of our thinking patterns. Actuality is God's promise. And God promises that you will make it to the other side. Fear not....

Purpose Of Faith

Purpose of Faith  What is faith? Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. | Hebrews 11:1 There are two words we can pick out from this verse: ·          Hope: Desire accompanied by expectation ·          Substance: The confidence or assurance Where does faith come from and how can it be obtained? Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ. | Romans 10:17 ·          Faith is obtained through the hearing of the Word of God 1 st . o    You may hear the Word of God through preaching, reading scripture, people, music, and a number of other ways. o    God must speak the Word over your life. This is also known as a promise. We need the Word of God to become the promise that He’s spoken over our lives to reach our destiny. Ø   Promise: An agreement to do or not to do something; Indication of a successful future. (Jeremiah 29:11), (Joshua 21:45). – God always k

Become What You Believe | Purpose Of Faith

As Jesus went on from there, two blind men followed him, calling out, “Have mercy on us, Son of David!” When He had gone indoors, the blind men came to Him, and He asked them, “Do you believe that I am able to do this?” “Yes, Lord,” they replied. Then He touched their eyes and said, “According to your faith let it be done to you”; and their sight was restored. Jesus warned them sternly, “See that no one knows about this.” But they went out and spread the news about him all over that region.  ~Matthew 9:27-31 •God gives us faith to become what we believe because of the word that is spoken into our lives. He gives us faith to believe that He is capable of doing what we desire for Him to do for us. •Our response should always be yes to His will. Our response should be yes to His power to do what we believe He will do. • The blind men became healed because they believed in Jesus' power to heal. Their faith was made complete because they believed that He was capable of heali

Seed Of Faith

SoundCloud: Seed Of Faith Podcast Quick question? Have you ever seen a mustard seed? Do you know how small a mustard seed is? Or better yet, did you even know mustard seeds even existed? Because I don’t think I’m the only one who thought that mustard was just a condiment. But it wasn’t until I read Matthew 17:20 that I realized mustard is a plant and that in order to move the mountains in our lives, a mustard seed of faith is just the right amount of faith we need. What is faith? Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. | Hebrews 11:1 There are two words we can pick out from this verse: So usually when I’m reading the bible I like to pick out key words within certain verses and define their meaning. Typically with this verse, it can be easy to read it and yet miss the whole meaning and or depth being it. So the two words that I feel will help make this verse easier to understand are the words; Hope and Substance. ·          Hop

What Is Love?

SoundCloud: What Is Love Podcast What is love? Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance. | 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 The answer to what love is, is found in 1 Corinthians 13 verses 4 through 7. These verses break down what love is and what it is not. One of the main things that can be highlighted from these verses is that love in itself is something positive. It is something that is beneficial to ourselves and those around us once it is applied. Love is an action. And the actions that are taken to describe love are actions that can be used in our everyday life situations and interactions with other human beings. So why should we love? 1 Corinthians 13 verse 2 breaks it down
